Today marks one full month since we swept Avie into our arms. A few things we'll remember about these first days together:
- Not remembering our names due to lack of sleep.
- Avie having the chance to meet all of her grandparents. (Looking forward to meeting the great-grandparents soon!)
- The humbling generosity of good friends. Our hearts, and bellies, are full.
- Buying new sheets from Target...so as not to sacrifice our good ones to the baby poop gods.
- Long nights with a babe 'frogged' up on our chests...wide-eyed and bushy-tailed.
- How good that babe smells.
- First baths.
- First solo outings.
- Family walks.
- Countless hours of Hulu and Netflix.
- Daddy's oatmeal chocolate chip cookies.
- The day Avie grew into the 'newborn' size onesies.
- The way she whimpers in her sleep.
- The way she smiles...voluntary or not.
- How much she loves being bounced on the yoga ball by daddy.
- Heel pricks and weight checks.
- Celebrating when our girl finally weighed more than six pounds (she's now close to seven)!

Holy Cow. I'm so excited to see her again tomorrow - she's changed so much! Gorgeous, sweet babe.
