I had the pleasure of attending an event at Modern Domestic last week with my dear friend Sally. We met Laura Gunn--painter and fabric designer extraordinaire--who shared the most amazing applique technique (one that will allow me to finish the awesome quilt I've imagined for Kell...more on that later.)After months of anticipation, this was my first visit to this magical place and I can't wait to plan an encore. It truly exemplifies Portland's DIY culture. An uber-stylish collaborative space dedicated to fabric arts. What's not to love?
