Date night | Amos Lee.
Kell and I had the great fortune of scoring tickets to last night's sold-out Amos Lee show. We pre-partied at Autentica (delicious!) and Mio Gelato, just to be sure we didn't shortchange ourselves on calories for the day, then took a stroll through the Pearl district on our way to the concert.
After the show, we agreed upon three things: 1) Amos is amazing. 2) The sardines game that is 'general admission' becomes less and less bearable as one ages. 3) Cecily should never be in charge of tickets, lest they be left in the trunk of the car, requiring retrieval after walking halfway to your destination. Fortunately, revelation number one outweighed the less spectacular points of two and three.
Favorite song of the evening? Won't Let Me Go. He tends to improvise this song in the most hilarious ways. Here's a clip from the Seattle show. As Kell said "that song alone is worth the price of admission."
