To the most magical people on the planet.

We slept with the windows open last night for the first time this year. Bundled under a down comforter, the breeze felt absolutely delightful and hinted at warmer days to come (c'mon Oregon, you can do it!) Then the sun came up to birdsong and a sky so full of blue it had pushed out all the clouds. This is the type of morning for which we endure the rains.

And now I sit here in the quiet hours with a cup of tea, thinking of what I wish for all of the mothers in my life.

Perhaps this is the answer...A warm breeze on your cheek, a big open sky full of Spring and a few moments of quiet with a cup of tea. May you have a few fleeting seconds to yourself, to marvel at the blooms of May, settle into your soul and feel for a moment how lovely and amazing it all is...you especially!

Happy, happy Mother's Day. With love.
